Sorry guys but I'm looking at purchasing one of these and I have but one inquiry before I bite the bullet, how loud are they - I live in a pretty quiet apartment and I like to be able to sleep at night, I assumed given their target buyer that they would be fairly quiet little boxes but was wanting some feedback from users, every review I have read about them just says "yeah it's pretty quiet", I wanna know compared to what and how audible it is from distances, it would be sitting almost directly beside me.
 
My SN25P sits about 18" away from head at the same level next to my bed. It's fine to sleep with the minor 'white noise', it's definitely more to the ambient end of the scale. It's not silent, but it is fairly quiet.

My XPC has 3 hard drives (2x Hitachi T7K250 + 1 Seagate 7200.8) and a 6600GT with
this Zalman VGA cooler on Silent Mode, works good.

I like quiet PC's and this one is pretty good. I've built quieter systems with only a single case fan, but I'm very happy with this as my first SFF system.
 
They're very quiet---if, IF you don't fill them up with noisy components.

An fx-55, x800xl, 2 raptors, a 3rd eide drive, and dvd-rw made my sn25p rig really loud when gaming.

Stick with one internal hard drive, and a vid card with an artic silencer-equivalent cooling solution and you should have a fairly quiet rig.
