lol definately not gonna stick but i wanna hear feedback from people who have owned this monitor or even seen it. also, is it worth the 400 bucks?

Acer Ferrari F20 for those who dont know

If you want bling its worth it, if you want a lot of features its not.

The monitor looks good and the image looks good with the glossy screen.

It doesn't have many options in the osd though and the stand isn't really adjustable. The US model only has VGA and DVI while the euro model gets S-cable/composite. Not that big of a deal though. Also the auto focus seems to be inconsistent.

Overall its an average monitor in a nice case.

actually i do want to be able to play RE4 on my monitor so yea i need features. sorry for wasting your time.

In addition to a Dell 2007WFP I also have a F-20. Since you want to know about the F-20 I'll just stick to that. Here are some plusses and minuses:
+
1. Looks stunning on your desk....if you have black components then it won't clash with anything. Even if it does who cares? It looks big and expensive and people will ALWAYS notice and ask where they can get one.
2. P-MVA panel with "Crystalbrite" clear screen coating is great for making the colors in your games look great and the P-MVA is good for watching videos and such.
-
1. No 1:1 pixel mapping
2. DVI and VGA inputs only
3. Stand only tilts back and forward
4. Speakers are standard monitor speakers...not great

Overall it is a great monitor and all of the minuses I mentioned really aren't a big deal....on my Dell I rarely use the pixel mapping and for Xbox 360 all you need is the VGA input. The screen height on the F-20 is just about where I would have it even if it were adjustable. However...I think at $400 it is about 50 bucks too expensive considering the lack of features. (which may or may not be useful)

but in the UK dont they have a tv tuner and composite inputs? not that im in the UK

is the f20 panel IPS or not?

Lottery just like Dell. I have an F-20 that I am pretty certain is S-IPS but some people report getting a P-MVA...which is still not as bad as Dell's S-PVA though. Accessing the service menu to get the panel technology only brings up "20.1 WS LG/AU Optronics". Well, since LG/Philips is the only maker of S-IPS and AU Optronics makes P-MVA...it seems they planned on a lottery from the start. Or maybe the North American and European models get different panels...the Acer UK site lists "Super-IPS" as the panel technology for the Euro model yet the US site makes no mention at all.
