Just read somewhere that Newegg did something bad to [H] right before Black Friday. Not sure what that is? A post or something I can follow?
 
What "bad" could newegg possibly "do to" hardforum?

I guess it is just a business decision. Somehow it is more profitable for hardforum to link to amazon.com than to newegg.com, based on whatever kickbacks they can get.
 
This thread isn't about SSD's and Data Storage so I'm closing it. In response though, my understanding is that they were constantly going back and forth on whether or not they even wanted to advertise here, then during a time when Hardforum had a referral program setup with them (commission on purchases that were clicked through from here) they decided to discontinue that right before Black Friday a few years back.

I don't have any first hand knowledge, that's just my understanding.

P.S. If you know enough to write [off-topic] in front of a thread, you should know enough to not post it in the first place. ;)
