• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

If it's got a parallel to computers, then drop it in General Hardware. If it's something unrelated to computers, buy a subscription to General Mayhem and post it there. :)

WHy do we have to pay for an off topic forum. Get rid of some of the pointless software forums. overclockers.com is it, then

Because the moderators deserve money for doing what they do now as volunteer work. They have families to feed too, you know. What you're saying is just fucking greedy, and you know it.

Im sorry if I was a little too unfriendly before, but some of the other subforums get practically no usage at all.

All the forums get usage. I just checked, and every forum has at least 1 person viewing, and at least 1 post within the last 6 hours.

Volunteers don't get paid m8 and theres no way i am paying $5 a year or $15 for life to be able to post in a off topic forum.

Not that desparate yet.

Its only on Hard Forums where you can't post in a off topic forum.

If the people who run these forums are hard up on cash then get more adverts or cut down on web space. Its that simple.

Its unfair to expect people like me to fork out for extra services that I can get for free eslewhere.

In addition, paid subscriptions are a very effective anti-troll tactic. Those immature enough to start flamewars and post !!!!!! generally are unwilling to pay, and many of them are under 18 and can't get paypal.
