so I am looking for a good web proxy thats not on any of the big poxy site lists I had a private one I was using but it looks like they are now down. any help on this would be appreciated..


Edit: Let Me rephrase My question.

Recently (read 2+ months ago) my employer upgraded some equipment and in the process changed our firewall/routing settings, the result of this is the boards for my university class, in fact anything in entire departments network fails to resolve.
so for 2 months I've been happily using a proxy to get my class responses in on time, but as of this morning my proxy no longer works (it isn't blocked its just no longer online)
now I can understand those of you who don't want to circumvent security for any reason, but thats no reason to assume my intentions are anything but legit, as for what my IT department has said about the issue when the issue first cropped up I complained about it and the answer I was given was that fixing to configuration to allow for the website to come through is too difficult / time-consuming and that I would have to deal with it or remote desktop to my pc at home. I can do that as a viable option but I'd rather not have to open remote desktop to the internet.

If anybody ever wondered what a typical day is like for network admins, imagine a workplace full of people like the OP trying to find ways to make your days more complicated.

I'd advise you not to do this. Your IT dept has this in place for a reason, and no one likes being shown blatent disrespect ( like you'd be doing if you were to go around their rules ).
