is there a difference in the quality of these items? I can save a few bucks. but I dont want sacrifice quality for a few dollars on an item that already costs over 250$..

I am gonna buy the 150 gig raptor HD and hauppauge pvr 500 mce

i almost always buy OEM stuff, because its cheaper. The only thing that i do not get OEM are optical drivers because i want the burning software that comes with them. Most OEM equipment does not come with software or driver disks, most are availible online though, but some of the paid software that you get with drives and waht not do not come with OEM versions and you cannot get them from the OE website.

Retail parts come with the pretty (hahaha) packaging, and sometimes a longer warranty. Other diffs are the software packages or package contents. (Ex, only a card and a manual, no cables or other goodies).
