Other than the obvious (manuals and driver CDROM's), what would NOT be included in an OEM Video Card package? (particularly a ATi 9600XT). Nothing else is needed, is there? (I wouldn't think that they strip off the heatsink-fan...)

That's correct. All you'll get is the video card. Generally no manual, cables, drivers.

I don't think it comes with a warranty, does it not? Other than that, what's been mentioned already is correct.

i bought my 9800 pro off of newegg at oem and it was just the card. but it did come with cooling.

When I got my 9500, it supposedly was OEM, but I got VGA->DVI adapter, s-video cable, and drivers, maybe I got lucky?

It really all depends on what the manufacturer of the card wants to throw in. The most definate difference is that OEM generally comes with no bundled software and in a plain white or brown box, if it has a box at all.
A lot of them do come with cables or adapters, particularly if the card has VIVO capabilities & needs a special breakout cable or it's a dual DVI card.
If you're shopping at the egg just look at the pictures. I find they're generally more reliable than the text lol.

it all depends on the oem manufacturer

you won't get the pretty box, or the bonus software

you should get atleast a manual and driver, i've never seen any factory oem packs come without them.

i agree completely.

Sometimes you get everything but the box and the warranty. My 9800 Pro OEM from eBay came with the cables and the CD.
