Oddity with CoD4

For some reason in CoD4 multiplayer I have to have vsync and triple buffering to make it feel "smooth" (even though its running at 60+fps). However, in the single player, I have to turn vsync and triple buffering off because for some reason if both are on, it is really choppy even though it is running at 60 fps. However whenever I start a recording of fraps at 60fps, my singleplayer with vysnc and triple buffering (which is what is choppy) goes really smooth.

I've noticed that as well with my system. I mostly catch it when I go from standing still to walking forward. Doesn't bother me much but I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice. I hate having vsync off because I get pretty horrible screen tearing on my LCD.
