My video card stopped working gradually. At first, the fan would spin faster more frequently. Then, my computer started feeling sluggish. Finally, the screen got pixelated. I restarted and it sort of worked. Then it got pixelated again. When restarting the second time... no post. I had a more powerful video card a year ago that had the same exact problem, but I bought a new PSU (the video card still didn't work) and installed my old video card with no problems.
So, now, I bought a new video card, thinking the old one died. Same problem with the new one.
I purchased a new motherboard, thinking that a capacitor was busted. Same problem with that one also.
I can use onboard video just fine. It's much slower, but works.
I'm kind of fed up now. Ready to return the new mobo and video card and just stick with the onboard video, since I don't have a budget for a new computer. It's completely stable with onboard graphics.
What's the problem? Could it be the PSU?
