This is more of a curiosity question rather than a help question. I am just wondering why my e6600(@ 3.6Ghz) is showing Core Temps around 65C fully loaded, but the actual CPU Temp being 10-15C higher. It only started to happen after I lapped the CPU. It works fine, it's 8 hour Prime 95 stable and the Core Temps are fine. I'm just curious why my CPU Temp is so much higher than the Core Temps.

Temps were taken from Bios/nTune Monitor and CoreTemp.

I don't, I'm just wondering what would cause such a difference between Core Temps and CPU Temps. And it wasn't nTune reading it wrong, Bios shows the same temps.

Wait.. your temps are HIGHER in BIOS than in CoreTemp?
Everyone else have the exact opposite (read that "who scr***d me over" thread)

Yeah, my Bios shows my CPU Temp idling at like, 50C while my CoreTemp shows each core at 34C. And no, I don't need to add 15C because of a wrong TJunction. It only started to happen after I lapped it as well. NTune Monitor does the same, but all programs that show my core temps are exactly the same.
