Odd RAM Issue on Sabertooth x58

I have 12gb (6x2gb) of xms3 corsair 1600MHz ram. when they are all connected to the board the computer will attempt to post once, MemOK LED stays lit and then hangs there and restarts. same thing happens again, Hangs at MemOK LED, and restarts, no display either.

third time around the computer will post sucessfully but bios will only recognize 8144MB of 12288MB of RAM.

I tried removing 2 sticks of ram and the same thing happens, instead of recognizing a full 8144MB it will read 4088MB after the 3rd post.. it will post perfectly fine with no restarts with only 2 sticks in each individual channel. CPU-Z will recognize the full 12GB but bios and window's dont, and neither does memtest.
 
Do they work if you reduce the overclock on the IMC. Remember that 45nm lga1366 processors support up to DDR3 1066 so DDR3 1600 is a substantial overclock.
 
i downclocked it to DDR3-800, and set the voltage manually to its spec (1.60v), same problem...
