well i started folding for team 33 a few months ago, with the text client, and it never would record anything i did; i had it running all the time! it said i was decoding stuff, but it wasnt.

so i just installed the graphical client (dont game on this computer) and it says its working, but i still dont see stats.. or does the first protein need to be completed?

What username are you folding under, and have you completed any work units yet? Stanford won't add you to the stats until you do.

What user name are you folding under ?
How where you monitoring the console client ?
What speed is your boxen ?

If you check in your FAHlog.txt file then if you have finished a work unit there will be a block similar to ..........

[21:52:57] Folding@home Core Shutdown: FINISHED_UNIT
[21:53:00] CoreStatus = 64 (100) <- Shows everything is ok with the core
[21:53:00] Sending work to server

[21:53:00] + Attempting to send results
[21:54:11] + Results successfully sent
[21:54:11] Thank you for your contribution to Folding@Home.
[21:54:11] + Number of Units Completed: 256 <- How many WU that client has done.

Once a week I go through all my FAHlog.txt files and check that the CoreStatus = 64.
Once in a while I will get an early end when the corestatus does not equal 64.
To many of them and I will check the box is stable.

Luck.......... :D

i fold under JhonkaBrohamski, and im pretty sure i should have some completed proteins... since i've been folding for like... 2 months

Well, I checked the stats at Stanford, http://folding.stanford.edu/stats.html, and it appears that that handle doesn't exist. You should probably check the log files as Tigerbiten suggested. Let us know what you find out!

Check your user name in the FAHlog file.
Also check in the FAHlog-Prev.txt file as well.
Top couple of timed lines have it.
One of mine look like..............

In that case your firewall may be blocking any uploads of finished Work Units.

Check your log files to see if one of them shows an end of work unit like in my first reply.
If so did you upload the finished unit ?

Luck........... :D

It may be working, but after looking at Stanford's stats, I don't see any name for any team that begins with jhonk... I'm not much for wasting time trying to find out what's going on. I'd just delete your folding directory, delete any references to folding in your registry, put in a brand new copy of the console client and enter a simple name like Jhonka. You don't need the Team 33 in parenthesis any more, so I'd just leave that off, but make sure you put 33 as the team number in the setup. I think I remember something about Stanford's system not liking certain names a long time ago, so maybe that's still the case. You might just have to remove the (Team 33) part of the name to be OK.

If you want to check for un-uploaded WU's, check your work directory and see if you've got files that look like a couple of months of finished work. I haven't seen stored completed WU's for years, but I guess an upload problem could cause them to be there.

Let us know how it goes!

Waste implies using it for something that it wasn't meant for....keyword "using".
You're not wasting anything if you haven't pressed the "Go" pedal.
Idle is like, anti-waste / anti-use. :D

too bad we cannot b0rg our minds

i think it would burn out irishes mind though
