Odd problem with Abit NF7-s

OK I gave my dad my Abit board, and now it beeps an error code at him, the two tone siren. Which means:

Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed.

Now the kicker, if you do a reset after initial power up, the beeping goes away. System works stable with beeping and after reset. The beeping doesn't start until after POST and the Windows XP splash screen comes on.

Things I have tried:
Swapping memory
HSF re-seating (2x)
Reset Bios.

Sytem specs:
Abit NF7-s Rev2
XP2500+ @ stock
1 Gig PC3200
80 gig HD.
GF MX 440
WinXP SP1

I was hoping someone would have an idea? The only other thing I can think of is swapping the PSU...but it is a 350 Enlight, and all voltages look good.

if your getting beeping after post, it most likely doesnt have anything to do with your CPU

This sounds more like a system alarm, so check temps, check volts
