It seems that every 6 th day, I get a sharp drop in output. I normally get between upper 8k to lower 11k PPD, but on the 6th day, I drop to about 6k. Not sure if this maybe due to sequencing of updates or something like this.. but it seems to be new to me in the last 3 to 4 weeks. As I've only been folding since May, I was wondering if this is normal behavior or I should start digging around to see if I have something going on here.
Thank you for any input.

Do you have any SMP clients running? Those units can take a little over a day depending on what hardware you have and will behave like you're seeing.

Thank You. I am running 1 SMP in windows, so that may be it as it adds about 3k PPD, . But I usually turn an SMP project every 12 to 13 hours, so it looks like if thats the problem, I dont process any SMPs for 1 day every 6.

I've thought about trying a VM setup, but since everyone in the house uses this machine as their e-mail, facebook, whatever-else-we-can-do-to-crud-it-up PC, and cant seem to manage to even turn the "simple "clients back on on the surprisingly rare occasion that a reboot is needed, that wont be for happening until I can get my PC into an area that is inconvienent for everyone else. I'm not that unhappy with the performance I'm getting now, but I would like working my way up a bit higher down the orad.

Put a shortcut in the startup folder and forget about it.

No need to babysit.

I did that, but it doesn't always recover correctly. Have to shut it down and restart it a 2nd time probably about 60% of the time anyways. May be a Win7 thing, I didn't start playing with the SMP until after I'd already installed RC1.:(
I'm mostly happy with the way it works (just need to find a way to keep other people off my rig that WON'T end in a divorce), just was wondering about this cyclic drop in points. If it's relatively normal, I wont sweat it for now.
I do plan on opening up this system to it's best potential, and am planning on playing around with VM's soon. Just want to make sure I can make it family proof (at least, MY family proof) before I do.
Once I'm rolling with that, I'll most likely have more questions;)
