Odd network flooding tonight?

wondering if anyone's noticed any internet flooding issues over the last 24-ish hours?

mostly, what i've seen is on the west coast, but i'd be interested to know if there are any other ping anomalies tonight (1/26)

I know there is a new virus out.

How do I know? I've gotten a TON of them in my various email servers since yesterday. A ton I tell you.

The bad part? I just set out to rebuild my home server, so while I just finished rebuilding my email server, it has none of the usual protection that it should ( no email scanning, no rbl, no spamassassin, no scanning for attachments ).

It ain't right, I tell you.

the welchia virus is still alive (can't remember what it is also known as), and most likely always will be. That is what is causing the flood of icmp traffic (if that is the traffic you are talking about).
