Setup:

Windows 7 X64 -all updates
Asus 6850, latest drivers

Dual Dell 24 inch monitors, both DVI

Windows will see both no problem, I can also extend the desktop no problem.
BUT
If I try and take monitor 2 and place it in front of monitor 1 (in windows of course) it will take and save but there is a little black box that appears on the second monitor, it has two little arrows in it as well. I cannot move it, click on it, or do anything with it. What the hell is it? It literally is a small black box with two arrows that sits on the desktop. If I take the window arrangement back to the way it was, box disappears.

Ideas? Thoughts?

never tried setting one infront of other before, my panels sit side-by-side.

tried it myself , desktop orientation changes but no weird arrow box appears.

ya, I have done it a thousand times on other computers with zero problems. For some reason with this setup it is happening and driving me nuts.

I saw this thread while trying to help someone with the same problem, here is the solution :D

Yeah, that did the trick... as it turns out, the box was displayed by ASUS' AI Suite (monitoring software that came with the motherboard). Exiting out of the program makes the box go away. I'm probably just going to uninstall the thing for now, but maybe e-mail ASUS too. Kind of a strange place to make that box show up, huh?
