Odd issue w/ XFX 4890

This only seems to happen in one game, and it appears to be solely heat related. After playing Team Fortress 2 for +/- 30 minutes the game will lock and both of my monitors will go to an image of a blank white/offwhite screen with jagged lines. The reason i say its temp related is i can open up the catalyst control center and ramp my fan up to 70% and it will run hours on end no issue.... The drivers only ramp the card up from the standard running 35% to about 45% and no higher...the temp at that speed usually(at full load) stays in the 68-70c range...but at the 70% when i set it myself, the temps stay around 55-60 fluctuating around a bit... In other games, the temps go just as high but dont lock up, but just this one... im completely lost....if anyone has any suggestions id much appreciate it

xfx 4890 at stock clock speeds
and two samsung 245bw lcds...

Anyone? no? tried 3 different driver sets with no luck...help would be awesome and such

Ive read that anything is safe for a 4890 up to 90c, which seems too high for me but these cards have a very high heat tolerance. If its only one game, im not so sure i would call it a heat issue. most likely a driver/game issue. Try reinstalling drivers or a different set of drivers. Also, try playing that game on a cold boot and see if it plays longer than 30 minutes.
