OCZ Z-Drive R4 CloudServ 16 TB Solid State Storage System

Impressive. I can't wait for prices on SSD's to fall to around Hard Disk prices pre-floods.

The future for storage is looking really bright can you imagine buying a 16 or 32TB SSD for $120? That may be a possibility by the end of the decade or even sooner.

When OCZ originally said they would be focusing on SSD's and stopped making RAM I thought it was kind of a joke I didn't really think they could bring any kind of innovation to SSD's but their PCIe cards and 3.5" models are definitely not like what we've seen from other suppliers they've managed to carve out a nice segment for themselves and surprised me in the process.

I do not expect that to ever happen while SSDs still use flash since shrinking the nodes (only real way to reduce cost) reduces write endurance. New technologies like the memory resistor that HP is designing will most likely not have this problem but may have other reasons that keep their cost high.
