is this a waste of money for my 2x1Gb ocz pc8500 memory sticks?

it's relatively cheap (c$ 24)...
 
good if you need to cool your memory. too much bling but you can change fans if need be.
 
Yeah I replaced the fans with some UV led fans from performance-pcs.com.

Looks sweet. Sucks though you have to use two plugs instead of one if you replace them.
 
I have one of these and I'm happy to say that it works rather well. Just be careful, since it's made of all metal you'll want to be sure that you have it mounted very snugly so that it doesn't come off and fall onto your video card and *ZAPPP*
