Overclockers Club has a review of the OCZ Vector 256GB solid state drive posted today. For comparison purposes, you can see our evaluation here.

OCZ's Vector line of solid state drives is every bit the performer that the Vertex 4 drives are with very few exceptions. In many of the tests, the two fastest drives were the Vertex 4 and OCZ's latest Indilinx Barefoot 3-equipped Vector. The only real weakness I saw was that the Vector was less frugal with the CPU cycles than the other Indilinx equipped drives.

Just installed the smaller and slower 64GB version on my aging Eee 1005p and it's like a real computer now. Boots to the Win7 login screen in 27 seconds, and I'm at the desktop and ready to use it in 35 seconds. Here's some Crystal Disk stats:

1000MB 5pass Sequential = 255.0MB/s read and 161.3MB/s write
1000MB 5pass 4K = 18.54MB/s read and 34.95MB/s write
1000MB 5pass 4K Queue Depth 32 = 56.13MB/s read and 51.45MB/s write

The drive is being held back by the rest of the computer, but those 4K numbers are still magnificent even on an Atom based system.
