OCZ Modstream 450 noise level

Hey guys I just purchased and installed a OCZ Modstream 450. So far the thing has had rock solid voltage on the rails, but what concerns me is it's much much louder than my Antec True 330 which it replaced. Do you know of some software which can tell me what RPM the PS fan is running at? It seems as if it's running at a constant high speed.

Thanks for the link. I think the fan controller is broken, cause the fan is running at maximum output.

Yeah... I've had that happen. If those fan controller thermistors fail, the fan spins full tilt...

Which I guess is a good thing. I'd rather have it spin full speed than not at all. ;)

I took my PC back to the store where I bought the PS from. The loud noise wasn't coming from the PS, but it was coming from the case fans. After disabling the case fans, my PC is super quiet. Right now I'm using my PC with the side panel off. Is this safe or should I buy a different case fan (SilenX) to use? The weird thing is when I had the Antec True330, I didn't have the excess noise coming from the case fans. Do the Antec PS's have some sort of fan controller to slow down the RPM's on the fans?

Thanks in advance...
