OCZ Memory Problem, Please help

Hi everyone at [H],

I have 2 sticks of 2gb OCZ OCZ2T800C44GK Titanium XTC.

The problem is this. I recently built a rig and the memory doesn´t want to run at its advertised speeds of 4-4-4-15. No matter what I try it just won´t run at these settings.

When I set everything to auto or let SPD detect the settings, it will usually run at 6-6-6-18. And sometimes even at 6-5-5-15, even though that isnt listed in the SPD. Now I´m a little confused, these modules have had good reviews and I don´t know why I´m not having any luck with them.

I tried bumping up the voltage, no success, even at 2.2v (OCZ claims that 2.2v will not void their warranty).

What I found out is that, when I change the timings manually, to no matter what, it will crash. Even if I set them to the exact same settings as given by the SPD. Is it enough just to set it to 4-4-4-15 without the sub timings, or do I need to specify everything? If so, what would be a good setting for these modules.

I mean, something has to be wrong if it crashes even when I set it manually to 6-6-6-18...

The other system specs are as follows:

Abit IP35-E Latest Bios (16)
Q6600 @ 3,4ghz with 380 FSB
Gainward 8800GT
OCZ OCZ2T800C44GK Running at 1:1.25 divider
Enermax Whisper II 535w

Like I said, I´m clueless.

the quoted latencies and vdimm voltages are are specified for stock cpu speed operation. you're on your own when you overclock. that being said, ram manufacturers know that enthusiasts overclock, which is why companies like ocz post how much additional voltage you can add without voiding they warranty. check the page for your ram modules to see how much leeway you have.
