OCZ Ecc Registered

I bought some memory about 2 yrs ago when i first built my dual opteron beast. Its ocz pc3200 ecc registered. It runs sweet and im pretty pleased with it. Problem is Id like to run more memory, but in order to keep dual channel i need to run either 2 or 6 sticks of the same ram, 4 sticks wont work.

why won't 4 sticks work? im using 4 sticks and its in dual channel NUMA mode

the memory u linked is the tighter timing version of mine (cas 2 vs cas 3). pretty expensive stuff.

I actually have 2 dual opty setups.
and asus a8n-dl dual 246's
and tyan s2875anrf dual 242

and you can't run two sticks in each group of memory slots for 4 sticks?

er... I built pretty much the same video editing system with a dual opteron setup, and I'm running 4x 1GB DRR400 ECC (corsair) sticks in it.
-2x AMD Opteron 248
-Tyan S2875ANRF
-4x 1GB DDR400 Corsair

It runs fine in dual channel..
