all parts are brand new except for the PSU might be 2 years old and it was working in the last system it was in:

Video card and CPU fans turning so motherboard seems to have power but i dont have any video and it seems the sata power cables are bad for all the sata items: bluray, HDD, and SSD The only way i can tell; is that the optical drive won't open.

(I've tried re-seating all power connections, video card, and memory sticks)

Wouldn't I still see motherboard screens or bios screens if the Hard disk/solid drives or optical drive didnt work?

OCZ PSUs are usually overrated, and likely will not put out full wattage in normal conditions. It wouldn't hurt to get a solid 500+ watt unit. Corsair, Antec, and Seasonic make some nice PSUs in that range. The Antec Neo was on shell shocker today, that would be fine for you.

So it sounds like it is in fact the PSU? i already ordered a cheap
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500-Watt Power Supply
Item#: C283-1220 | Model#: RS500-PCARD3-US for $40 shipped
replacement a few days ago i just wanted to double check before i popped in the new one and had the same problems.

and the OCZ (580) watt lasted about 5 years not bad for 90 bucks

I'm sorry to say this, but you've actually downgraded from an already mediocre OCZ-branded PSU to one of Cooler Master's worst PSUs. The so-called "500W" eXtreme Power Plus cannot handle its full 500W rating without its DC output going wacky. That PSU is in reality only a 420W PSU at best.

Way to downgrade.

well its a good thing im not using anywhere near 420 watts then :)

Can anyone answer my question? ;)

Can a mod please move my thread to General Hardware forum?

To be specific, do you have another system to try the graphics card and/or SATA drives on? That's the only thing I can think of right now. Also, when you take apart your system, check for any shorts (electrical soldering points touching metal directly) or loose metal parts underneath the motherboard.
