OCZ 600W StealthXtream loud?

Just got this PSU installed in a buddys P180B case and have found it to be pretty dang loud. Its moveing a huge amount of air through the unit and this fan has to be running at full blast. Is it normal for this PSU to be this loud?
 
Yup.. the StealthXstream is just another marketting gimmick.. It is NOT quiet.
 
They are saying they had a batch that went out with bad fan controller. They are replacing them via RMA on their webiste. How much truth you think there is to that? I hope PC Power and Cooling remains a good product after be purchased by OCZ. I should have stuck with Seasonic and made my buddy spend a little more.
 
Hello, OCZ did have a batch with bad fan controllers. All current stock should be just fine.

The StealthXtreme was designed to be quite, and it is. We are closely inspecting all new batches for proper fan speeds.

PC Power and cooling is still run by the same folks and will remain that way. They are located in the same Carlsbad California facility. Expect no changes expect increased R&D and availability. Quality is still the only language they speak.
