So now I have to get them an email to get them a meta account.

Ive had emails set up for my kids since they were probably 4 years old. They dont use them, but I use them on their behalf.

...but seriously it sounds a bit creepy. Dunno what the answer is for you. Create separate emails for each kid THAT YOU MANAGE & CONTROL. Weed kids off creepy devices. Encourage non-"screen" based games, hobbies, entertainment. Look for a buyer for said creepy hardware.

I had an Oculus Quest back in 2020 and got rid of it because there were absolutely no parental controls or screen time on it and my son was caught on his headset at 3AM one night.
