I recently tried OC'ing this card using ATi Tray tools, after letting the program test the gpu clock speed it got to about 549 before the screen turned white with vertical lines on the screen. Are these artifacts?

The card came with a gpu clock of 540 stock, was the OC a bit low?

Testing on the mem went to about 560 before I stopped it and its running on that atm.

Also I've set a profile to be loaded on boot that clocks the gpu and mem to 545/600 through ATT, is this the best way to do it or is there a better way?

do it manually...although it seems quite a low oc for the card...what were your load temps with the oc?

Load temps are in the range of 70-80C. I've upped the mem to 605 now but it was the gpu clock that when to about 550 before the screen went white and showed lines all over it.

yeh that happened to my old one too :(

Mines not a PE, just the plain XT, in AGP....clocks to 620core/640mem. Its watercooled but the same clocks were achieved with the stock air cooler...just quite a bit hotter (80-85 C) and louder. Ive heard of other people reaching similar clock numbers, but I think its in the above-average range.

What kind of power supply are you using?

got my regular XT AGP at 560-565 core (depending on the game) and 610 mem. GPU's on water and the memory is 'sinked. i think that what you're getting might be a bit low, but with such high temps......that might be all that you're going to get with your current config.
