OC'ing radeon 9600?

I want to OC my radeon 9600 but have been unsuccessful getting the program to work. I downloaded rage3dtweaker but when I try to change the mhz and click apply, it just goes back to default. Am I missing something or just doing something wrong?

Gigabyte 7n400 pro
2400 xp-m
1gig muskin ram
2x 120gig hd
9600 radeon
 
Download ATI tool..just google it..it works good for me and has the nie ati look.
 
Get the omega drivers, they come with ATi tool, its automagic auto overclocking wunderbar worked for me.

The hacked OpenGL driver is nice for smoothing out HL/STEAM games like CS too if you swing that way...
 
I use a program called Powerstrip. It also has a TON of other features.
 
Thanks, I downloaded ATI Tool and found out that my card was locked. I downloaded the drivers to unlock it and now I can get the core up to 468mhz.
