I can currently run an OC of 2.95 I can OC comfortably to 3.1 with no stability issues but all my benchmarks are noticably lower (400-500 pts on 3DmarkO5). Any reason for this?

Are you passing Prime95 with that setup at 3.1ghz?

Also, make sure your cpu isn't throttling itself (how are your temps?)
