I had an x300 before I upgraded to my x700pro late November. It was $100, and I thought it could hold me over until I eventually got a new rig. I bought it with the intention of OCing it.
Now, Im an OCing newb, and my friend just gave me a crash course on flashing and OCing.
With stock cooling, I barely tweaked the card to see what kind of results Id get on 3DM
Here they are:
Default/Stock:
Score: 2796
Date: 2005-12-27
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2993 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON X700 PRO
424 MHz / 432 MHz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP
Res: 1024x768@32 bit
Minimal Changes
Score: 2943

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2993 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON X700 PRO
450 MHz / 461 MHz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP
Res: 1024x768@32 bit
On to my question, are there any decent cooling devices for an x700 Pro, and what kind of performance boost would I see from it?
Also, how can I tell how far I can safely take my stock cooling?
Thanks guys.
