If i overclock my BFG 7800GTX, will this void my warranty? I heard that EVGAs are allowed to do this withough vioding the warranty.

Also is there a general program to check the temps of my CPU, GPU, and so on? Other than check the temp through BIOS, or through hardware?

I used to use Motherboard monitor on my Dell Dimension XPS Gen 2, but they discontinued that app.

Anyway I have a DFI UT SLI-D nForce4 Mobo

Thank you for the help.

Basically if you damage your card your warranty is VOIDED on any company's card, but yes running your BFG card out of normal spec will technically void your warranty, as there is a much higher chance for failure.

well yeah, i know that is i damage it through OCing it will void my warranty, thank you.

If you don't go crazy with your OC and burn the thing up in a matter of days i'm not sure how BFG could tell if you gave it a little speed bump. You could aways go with an aftermarket cooler but that would void your warranty also with BFG.

If you don't mind ghetto mods, just remove the fan/heatsink cover and place a fan over the heatsink. Seems to make a big difference in cooling.

In some cases, BFG does warrant your video card even after installing your aftermarket cooler .

for mbm and the files you will need to make it run on dfi nf4. also will report your gtx's temp.
"systool" will report your cards temps, also is the only prog that i have found that will always overclock the 7800 series(sometimes the nvid applet and rivatuner and pstrip refuse to overclock past default). google for this. has auto update feature. also google for the "coolbits for det4 and above" reg mod. your cards temps are also shown in the drivers applet. good luck.
