OC'ing Athlon 1.3?

I've got an Athlon 1.3 ghz (200 mhz FSB, 6.5 mult), that i'm trying to overclock. it seems to run pretty cool at stock speeds - under Prime95, it generally runs about 36c, but I can't seem to get a successful overclock of any significance.

The multipliers seem to be locked - if I change them, the system locks up, but I checked the L1 bridges, hoping for the good old pencil trick - no luck, they don't seem to be cut...

Overclocking with FSB alone is netting me about 1.4ghz (215 FSB, 6.5 multiplier). I've tried tweaking the CPU and RAM voltages slightly - I'm running 1.90v CPU and 2.6v RAM, but I'm hesitant to pump too much power through there... With that configuration, It's running 43c under Prime95


Any suggestions on unlocking the multiplier, or successfullly raising the FSB higher? I was really hoping for a bit more from the chip - perhaps that was just optimism on my part.

System Specs:
Athlon 1.3
Shuttle AN35 Ultra Mobo
768 mb ram (1 3200 512mb stick, 1 2700 256 stick)
NVidia GeForce FX5200

I know it's nothing impressive, but I'm working on a budget, and trying to get the best out of what I have... I use the computer primarily for media related activities - it spends a fair amount of its life ripping cd's and dvd's, so any processor gain will definitely make a day to day difference.

Thats pretty cool for that CPU. I had a 1.2@1.33, and thats all it would do. That was on an Abit something-or-other (forget name) mobo, and a FOP-38. Mine ran, HOT! Probably the hottest CPU I have ever had, it just didnt overclock well at all.

My guess is the memory is holding you back...one of the sticks anyway. Did you try loosening the timings on the memory?

Sorry, I'm a noobie - what do you mean when you say loosen the timing on the memory?
It's listed right now as: RAS 9, RCD 4, RP 4...
