ya i know 2 things that dont really mix but meh

i started with a 2.8ghz P4 idles at about 35-37c running prime95 it would hit 55-57c now my only goal was hitting 3.0. ive hit that mark(3045.30 and change) it idles at 38-40c and prime95s at 58-60(rairly hitting 61c)

im running a zalman clone HSF witha 92mm fan on it 2 80mm rear fans, a 120mm front fan(not running atm, need to geta 3 to 4 pin power adpator for it) and an 80MM side fan(aimed at my OCed 9500 pro)

id like to cool that down a tad and was wondering if i ran a duct from my HSF to one of my rear case fans if it would cool it even more?

also would moving my HDD to one of the floppy bays and ran a duct from the front fan(ending at the end of the HDD bays) aiming up cool it even more? the case im useing(this is the only shot i can find of the layout inside) thou mine is blue and im not lucky nuff to have the 120mm fan spot in the back the duct i was thinking of would go from the front fan threw the bay holders and be aimed up twords my mobo a tad beter then it is now

Is it a Prescott? I had the old Thermalright S478 heatsink on my 2.4C OCd to 3.0GHz and my temps were 45C and below.

the heatsink fans are generally supposed to blow down onto the cpu, not pull air up away from it, so a duct from the intake fan to the hsf should cool it more. i say should because if your case's circulation is already excellent, it might not make a difference, but it probably will.
