The Bios is locked is there any underground bios-tweak program to oc the FSB? its a 4600

A 4600? I take it you're referring to your video card.

Sure, you can overclock it easily... there are a ton of utilities available out there. Try PowerStrip, or do a search on Google for the "coolbits" hack.

As far as your processor, RAM, etc... don't hold your breath. You might get lucky, and score a few extra MHz with SoftFSB, but other than that it's hopeless.

Nah hes talking about a Dimension 4600 desktop.

Other than software OCing or hacking/writing your own BIOS, i dont think so.

alot of people buy dells is there really no hack yet for upping the FSB? its a 2.8 533fsb

You can use SoftFSB for sure but you have no AGP/PCI lock so it's pretty much pointless........

Sup peeps, you guys must be uninformed, so i will inform you peeps.

I have a dell 400sc.

P42.4C @ 2.8.

you can up the FSB with CPUFSB or CPUCOOL.

If you have a dell motherboard that runs on the ICS 952601 PLL

then you will need to use ICS 952607 to overclock your FSB.

Use the fine tunning option to overclock.

I don't think there is a agp/pci lock or anything that you can mess with though, my onboard sound does not work at high FSB and i think the only reason i got to 2.8 and not higher is that my ram is kinda slow.

MTXR,

ICS 952601 PLL isnt this PLL listed on CPUFSB or SOFTFSB website that it is impossible to overclock?.....tried it so many times and it dont work.......

If you have that PLL, you must use ICS 952607 in CPUCOOL or CPUFSB to overclock.

Once again.. USE ICS 952607 to overclock.
