is it worth it? ive seen tutorials about flashing the BIOS to the 5870 version and getting clock speeds over 1000mhz

but is it worth it? i tried OCing a little last night, and i OCed the memory to 1125 and got the memory screen of death screen, all gray and lined

this GPU just SMOKES everything i put up against it, the new AVP which i couldnt even aim with my old card, now runs at top speed with everything but DX11 turned on, im still running XP Pro :D

MW2 is a joke now, as well as L4D2

cant play Bad Company 2 yet, need a dual core or higher CPU, i just got my AMD 965 BE X4 today :D

If the card is performing fine now, no need to OC. The only 2 games I need to OC mine for are Metro 2033 and Crysis. Your best bet is the MSI Afterburner tool for voltage/core increases.

BC2 is the only game I play. I have my 5850 with the original BIOS to 945 core 1200 memory @1.174 volts. At that OC it runs at 70c at full load and fans on stock cooling (reference) at 42%.

I noticed an improvement in BC2 even at lower resolutions so I believe it is worth it. Why wouldn't you? Just don't go crazy with the voltage and watch the temp.
