Occasional stutters

I've noticed when playing Deux Ex Human revolution (and I am sure I have had this problem with previous games too). That during game play I get a short stutter in performance. This happens when the auto-save feature activates but also at some other times.

I am running the game at quite low settings so my PC should be able to more than cope with it. I've checked my graphics drivers are up to date and as a general rule I make sure my PC is running little software in the background.

Does anyone know what this might be? Searching the net it sounds similar to the "micro stuttering" issue but I am only using a single graphics card.I am running Windows 7 ultimate 64 and my hardware spec is below. Thanks.

It's a common problem with the game; other games run fine on my PC but Deus Ex stutters sometimes. Sometimes it seems to stutter when walking between certain areas like it's trying to load them.

I found that having SSAO on high increases stutter dramatically. You mentioned your settings were already low, but if you have SSAO on high, try dropping it to normal or off.

Yea Deus Ex was like that. I found it to be more prevalent in the earlier parts of the game but could just be my mind playing tricks on me.
