I just got my x800 se OEM from Sapphire and decided to OC it. It came 425/400 when I opened ATItools. I fell asleep and when I checked it in the morning it said it had crashed at 571/528 (I had already OCed core to 528 and had played w/out error). It said that 571/528 was the last measurement that it worked at. I set it at 550/528 just to be safe. Did I set it too high? It seemed a little high for it, but after reading ATItool's guide, it said that it would take it until error was noticed. I haven't tweaked anything in ATItool either, I use it as is after download.
Is this too high? What would be the suggested range? What would be too dangerous for the card (beyond crash, actual physical damage to it)?
I know that all cards have different possibilities on being OCed, so no one need waste a good answer on this. Thanks.
