Alright this is REALLY pissing me off. I don't know if its cause the BIOS Revision, or my processor cant oc higher, or cause i haven't touched voltages.

anyways.

First I tried to set my timings from 4-4-4-15 to 4-4-4-12 and my P5K-E WOULD NOT BOOT. I upped the Dram Voltage to 1.95 and then 2.00 and it STILL wouldnt boot. the DDR2 was set to 950 i think, but i did try it at 750 as well and that didn't work eitehr.

ok so whatever, I'm happy at 4-4-4-15 i guess, although i do wanna know if it can go higher or if i'm doing anything wrong. there isn't alot of increase with a RAM OC anyway so it isn't a huge deal but you know....

so now I wanna get my processor past 3ghz. currently it runs with a 300mhz FSB without a hitch. when i put my FSB at 305, and the motherboard REFUSES to post.
I don't get how a mere 5 mhz increase on the bus can cause it not to post. The RAM is still running at a 5:6 ratio with any CPU Oveclock (the Mobo defaults to that).
So maybe I need to do some more with the voltage, but I CANNOT WORK WITH VOLTAGE, because i don't know how and I don't wanna fry the chip.

Temps:
@ my 3 ghz OC, by upping the FSB from 200 to 300, I idle at a temp of 21-25C (sometimes drops to 18C) and under load it peaks at temps of 42-45C. it NEVER goes higher than 45, and usually sits at 44 when playing crysis or running prime 95. I have Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste on the E2180, and i use a GeminII cooler, with 2 Rosewill 120mm fans. the rosewills are not an issue becasue its proven that better fans on a cooler master geminII only yield about 2 C cooler.

so as far as i know my temps are fine. System temp registers about ~34C when under load, it sits at like ~27-28C at idle.

All of these temps are taken with Asus AI Suite, which matches speedfan, so I trust it.

am I doing anything wrong? Why can't I get past 300 on the FSB?
