I'm fairly new to oc ati, that said I'm using ati tool 0.24. The stock clock shows 540/590, I can reach 590 on the core but have to back the mem down to 588. When I try and run "FInd Max Core" atitool freezed after 30 secs and wont go over 594, is that the highest it will allow me to go? I'm running stock cooling but am looking to go watercooled by tapping into my watercooled cpu. Would that then allow me to oc more? The temp runs idle @ 42C and 45-47C loaded. Comp stats are in sig. Any help for this noob would be appreciated.
 
Try this:
Use the ATi tool to run the fan at 100%
Then use the Catylst Control Center "Overdrive" feature to find max mem/core
 
I'm on it thx. I've never used the Catalyst controller as I have had this card less than 2 weeks. So wish me luck :cool: .
 
ok so my catalyst controller installed but won't open when i click it :confused: I tried reinstalling and cleaning reg keys and reinstalling but no luck? So if anyone has any comments on another method or on my first post plz rply.
 
what do you mean it wont open when you click it? If it doesn't launch AT ALL.. *important* RESET the speeds to STOCK in ATI-tool.. and THEN remove the ENTIRE DRIVER PACKAGE using Add/Remove Programs (there is an item called "ATI removal" or something along those lines that will totally clean the drivers out of the system), and THEN re-install the catalyst drivers + catalyst control..

did as instructed and catalyst controller still wont open when clicked on :mad: Any help on the first post or my problem opening cc would be appreciated.
 
thats a shit oc on them mem...ul...you could send it back and say it artifacts at stock speeds? ;)
