now i thought it over for a while and i realized that my ram fsb is linked with the cpu. if i unlink them keep the ram where it is and bump the cpu back up do you think that will fix the problem? or is this something else entirely?

and i have not done any overclocking on my gpu's just in case any one was wondering :)

You could try unlinking your ram, but I think you should run prime for a little longer, you may not be getting enough juice to the cpu...also check your temps it may be overheating, or maybe you just got a bad chip. I usually run Prime for at least 4 hours, usually 8.

ok well i have not bumped up the voltage at all on my cpu its still running at stock so it may be that its not getting enough juice.

when i run realtemp i have a core temp of 45c at idle. i dont really know what a normal idle temp is so feed back on that would be appreciated.

First off, is it running at stock volts, or did you just leave it set on auto?
Secondly, idle temperatures aren't very helpful, we need to know load temps to really tell how far you're pushing your chip.

hmm.... i don't think it's your cpu...

have you OC'd your gpu as well? looks like artifacting to me.

usually, unstable cpu OC will lead to lock ups or immediate restarts. that looks as though there's something up with your gpu.

also, unstable RAM OC will do something similar...

lol, i need to learn to read the whole post...

ok, no gpu OC. it's most likely your ram OC or issues with your memory controller (usually NB). try lowering your memory or unlinking it from the FSB. let it run stock.

you can also try taking the memory out of their current slots and installing them in the two other slots.
