OC my 2.8

My Mobo

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 512 L2 w/ HT 800mhz fsb

with my processor and motherboard can i oc this? if not with this motherboard what will i need? i have 1 gig of memory and a crappy radeon 9600pro video card running window 2k just incase u cared to know

Intel boards don't have any oc'ing options, unless that's one of the intel boards with the 4% oc option in the bios...if it doesn't have that then you're SOL

ASUS or ABIT OC well

the p4p800 or p4c800 in ASUS

don't know exact ABIT but they are good OCers

i have a p4p800e with my 3.2 pressy at 3.86 and 241 FSB

Abit IC7 max3 for abit OC's real well. I have my 2.8 northwood at 3.4. Watercooling is being installed later next week!

what HS/F are you using now to OC that far? and where did u get your water cooling kit?

I'm running my 2.8C with a Prescott HSK. It's running nice and cool. I never OCed it with that HSK though... but it does a really good job. It was free for me too!

Using a crappy aerocool 4. I got it off ebay, brand new exos-al, in factory box! I am in the middle of a move right now, packers packing as I type, so it'll be a little while before I can hook it up. If you need advice let me know. A big advantage of the max 3 is that it allows for more voltage for the memory, a lot of mobo's top out with 2.8 being the max you can give mem, while the max3 allows 3.2. No need for an OCZ booster with this board! The gskill may have something to do with the OC as well!
