Soooo I just picked up a i7-930 on sale @ Microcenter for 199.99! :D

Any tips on OC'ing the i7's? In particular about the hyperthreading (on or off/benefits)?

Also, is the classified series from EVGA worth it? Is there a real benefit to the 400$ board in terms of OC stability over the regular X58 offering? I'm really hoping to be a part of the 4ghz+ club again.
Last I saw that # was on my E8400@4.1ghz.
 
I got my 920 to 4Ghz on the EVGA X58 SLI motherboard easy as pie. From what I've seen there is very little to no advantage to having the super expensive boards. They have a few extra bells and whistles and some extra options in the BIOS but nothing that is a deal breaker. better to spend that extra money on something else that is going to produce noticeable results like a bigger videocard or RAID.
 
I also have the 920 and eVGA X58 SLI (758). I followed some tips/suggestions in the eVGA forums and hit 4.2GHz very easily. I have HT off since there really is no difference in games, and my cores run 10-15C cooler than with HT enabled.

I just saw the i7930 deal today and jumped on it. I had no idea that I had a Microcenter 15 minutes from me. Good day today.:D

So now I have a 930 dying for a mobo to live in.
I don't mind shelling out extra for the Classified, but I didn't want to get stuck with buyer's remorse (got a bit of that after paying out for my watercool loop that didn't give me great temps).
