Asus M2n32 sli delux
amd x2 4600+
2gb corsair 6400

fsb 300
vol. 1.5v
multilpier 8.0
memory voltage is left on auto

45 idle (no case fans on)

Can't you do 275fsb with a 9x divider?

That 8x divider is really killing you... :(

45'c Idle... Too high.

1.5v is also too high. Try 1.45.

what is the max your CPU will run?MHZ
what is the max you board will run?? HTT
what is the max you RAM will run?

until then I cant determine how good your OC is...

read the OC sticky

drop you multi and run you htt up until it errors in prime95 keeping you CPU under or at stock MHZ

then up your multi and drop your mem divider and run you HTT up until it errors.... then increase vcore until temp reaches 50-60*C load

than drop you multi (cpu) and run mem divider at 200 (1/1) and push HTT up until mem test or prime95 errors...

then find the sweet spot....

but 300*8=2400 which is a low OC.... I got my manchester 3800+ to 2.6 on 1.475 vcore and that was to low for me.... Got me a toledo coming in the mail on wednesday.... hopefully I can push that up to 2.8ghz or higher....

i would keep with 9x and run lower mem divider if you ram can keep up.

honestly its a weak OC, but it all depends on what you CPU can handle, maybe that is the max for your 3800+ I would sell it on ebay and get something that is before 0622 (those manchesters are weak OCers)

Toledos are the way if you want to OC... I have seen 2.8 on stock vcore around here somewhere

Get your Temps in check before you try and serious Overclocking... 45 Idle is, too high.

but he has a 4600, not a 3800. I OC'd .5Ghz on air on a manchester, so they arent that bad......

Agreed with the above poster, the Manchesters have a lower TDP, which makes them nice. I still stick with what I said above.

with my fans on its down to 30C

All I really want is like 2.8 and Ill be happy. Nothing outrageous, but more then what I have now...

I have not seen any 062X manchesters hitting 2.8 I have seen 2.4-2.7

they are weak OCers, if you want a good OCer sell it and get a toledo or an 05XX manchester... they had better luck getting near 3.0

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2000MHz HT Socket AM2 Dual Core

is what i have...this any better?

Personally so that i can keep the memory as close to 1/1 ratio as possible, i use the highest multiplier i can get and then just bump up till i need more voltage and then i stop...

Try to get to 2500mhz by doing 250fsb and 10x multiplier. I bet you it will work just fine...

also, 1.5V is really overkill for that low of an OC, put it back on auto (if it has that option) or just put it to 1.4 or 1.45, you dont need to up the voltages unless you deam that it is unstable at a particular speed because of voltages. This implies that you have made sure that its not that your ram is running at too high a frequency before you up any Vcores.

i did the 10x and the 250.... its working fine. temps are 33C

you think its possible to get to 2.8 with this processor?

ive done a 250 with 10x multi. Thing is, if I dont use a 166 mem devider, it gets all crappy, so Im stuck with my DDR-500 running at 333, with some fat timings....Oh well, its still fast as shit :D

i know... im at 2.5 from 2.4, its amazing the difference its made

either way, im pleased with the processor. :D
