OC Heat question

I think I'm going to try and OC my BFG 6800GT to an ultra (400/100), but I have a question. My card has a built in temperature sensor (which is totally cool) and it has the temp. threshold at 120. Is that about the trouble temperature? In other words, if I'm under 100 degrees Celsius or so under full load I'm in pretty good condition? Running the Doom3 benchmark three times at my stock settings (370/1000) takes me to about 63 or so, so as long as I can produce a stable OC at maybe 10 degrees higher I'll be in good shape?

Are you running the D3 demo then exiting and checking temps If so you are not getting the right temps.

80 - 90 range is as high as I feel comfortable with but I am sure you could survive at 100

Well, I run the demo twice and then immediately exit the game and check my temps. I'm sure there's some cool down in there, but would it be very significant?

EDIT: BTW, I was able to successfully OC my card for 430/1150 which is higher than BFG's stock Ultra (425/1000). I didn't really notice any significant performance increase, though (I've always been able to average 60 frames at 1280x1024 UH detail :)), so I returned it to stock. I was pleased, though, that I could get it that high.

Thanks!
