Obsidian2 X-24

Was that the one that was essentially 2 Voodoo2 and a 2D card all in one? As I recall that card sold for almost as much as the rest of the PC including monitor. Actually pretty crazy that PC prices are nearly the same now as then. A decent PC was $3-4K then and still is now.

I don't foresee them getting $10K for it, but you never know. Pair that with a 486 DX66 or DX120, 32Mb of RAM, 512Mb HD, Sound Blaster 16, with a 19" Sony monitor for some serious retro action.

Every time I see one of these for sale, I hate that I let mine go a VERY long time ago. Now will this guy get 10K, highly doubtful.

We're here for a short time. We come into this world with nothing. We leave with nothing. We all miss stuff we used to have, but that's life. I miss my Trans Am. But more than that, I miss when my life was just keeping my Trans Am running, drinking beer, chasing women and considering whether or not I should grow a mullet.

You can't post this without telling us the outcome of the mullet decision!

Yes, Voodoo 2 SLI on a single board. I bought mine at a Babbage's for $600 in '98

It's PCI so methinks a slot1 board with 300A OC to 464 would scream in glide. FZR2000 in NFS IIse would be so smooth. ;-)
And some of those wait times, maybe a SATA SSD with IDE adapter and one of those noise makers that translates IDE light firing into audible clicks. Seagate Cheetah X15 sound with speed better than a RAID box with Mylex ExtremeRAID2k without the 2 minute POST time. Best of both worlds. (Although Quarterdeck QEMM Quickboot allowed warm booting bypassing those BIOS loads on warm restarts.) Those were the days!
