Oblivion- Sound Loops and system locks up

My system locks up and the sound starts looping at random times in oblivion.
I have a feeling it has to do with my 7900gtx and xfi sharing the same irq ranges and if so how do i fix that?

The same thing happened to me in a different game, it turns out i overclocked my video card to far. I honestly doubt that's the problem but it's worth a shot if your video card is indeed overclocked.

Same problem occurred to me when my video card was oc'ed also... if you have it overclocked you might want to set it to factory settings and see what you get...
