I am stuck trying to get the Leyawiin Recommendation from Dagail. I have been to Fort Blueblood several times and I cannot enter. I get a message saying I need the Key. Where do I get the Key? I have killed bandits repeatedly and they don't have it. I have tried pickpocketing Dagail and Kalthar as well. I have searched gamefaqs for an answer and googled it. All I have found is the console command but I'd prefer not to "cheat" for it. Any Ideas or help?
 
thats the one that has the switch outside to open the gate... Im not real sure but dont you have to kill someone/thing right inside the area? if so, think the key is on them...

Im reallllly not sure. I went to that fort doing a theifs guild quest. I think! darn, too many hours playing this darn game!
 
darn, i just did this quest over the weekend and don't remember needing a key or anything. did you try talking to the assistant that cares for dagail? i'll see if i have a saved game that lets me do it again tonight.
 
one of the guys in the fort has it. its a Warlord or something, in the room just before the hallway with the locked door.
 
There is no switch outside. I haven't entered the fort because I need the key therefore I can't get it from a warlord or anything. None of the NPC's (Agata, Dagail, or Kalthar) have it. I think this may be a bug or glitch since everyone else seems to be able to get inside. Here are pics:

Try pickpocketing it from Kalthar. It's strange that you don't have a key, I was able to open that door easily. Or, try talking to Dagail about her father and/or the seer stone...maybe that triggers the door to open.

looks like a bug. i checked my inventory when entering that door and did not have the Fort Blueblood key, only got it when i killed the warlord.
