Can we get an Oblivion Sub Forum?

It's annoying having to scroll through 4 pages of oblivion threads :/

Maybe if it was temp or somethin?

Stickies do not work in this situation. You really cannot contain an on topic discussion on any game in one thread. You have problems, control discussions, graphic discussions, immersion etc. Imagine the nightmare it would be to contain anything if we had one sticky. Now imagine trying to find the data you are looking for. It just isn't practical.

This happens every time we have a major release, my best advice is to simply deal with it, it will die down in about a week.

well, it would be nice to have all the oblivion crap in one place and not cluttering up the whole forum

It's a recurring nightmare with each new release as stated previously....we even went so far early on to ban members in the gaming forum for breaking the guidelines in a sticky. All we accomplished with that was to lose some good members. The only advice I have is to ignore the threads and concentrate on the ones you wish to participate. That keeps everyone out of trouble and the threads die quickly without replies.

Okay, I wasn't here for any major game launches :(

I guess I'll just ignore them, but it's damned hard to see 1 million Threads titled "Oblivion" and not being able to play it!

think its bad now?

wait till Duke Nukem Forever hits the street. which should be in the next 10 years or so. ;)

All the genmay lifers subscriptions will be up by the time DNF hits :p

One game isn't going to be significant enough for its own forum. Some popular games tend to create a buzz for a while then die out within a few months after everyone gets bored of it :p.

I think it would be smart to make a dedicated sub forum forever for it, because this game IS pretty huge, and has alot of ins-and-outs, not like Doom 3 that can be beaten in a mere few hours...This one could hold strong for a few years for sure....

yeah, rpg games will be talked about for a long time. I think it would b cool to see a forum for new game releases though, that way all the stuff about graphics, gameplay. ect... for a new AAA title could be in one forum and not all over the place. since the forum would be called new releases( or something like that) it would never have to be replaced.

Wait, wait, I have an idea...make a subforum in the games section that ONLY exists for a few weeks after a major release. Or something along the lines of that. Or when the thread count pertaining to a specific game hits a certain mark, give it it's own temporary subforum. It'd be good and keep things tidy!

Now this is a cool idea...a "New Release Discussion" forum would take care of this problem and work pretty well IMO.

Look, it ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Where is that "beating a dead horse" graphic when you need it? :p
