Ok so i got my rx9800pro yesterday and my attemps at "X"treme overclocking didn't turn out how i planned.

I'm running 420/372 which isn't spectacular considering it has a r360 core.

I remember reading something about increasing agp voltages or something to aid in overclocking, i checked my bios and its at 1.6. Is it safe to up it to like 1.8 or 1.9?

why not just flash it to an XT? if you can keep it cool then it should OC more....

i have an 9800xt, but i have the agp voltage maxed out and havent had any probs what-so-ever.

don't mess with the AGP voltage, it only provides more voltage to the AGP bus, and not the video card. only helps if you want to oc your AGP from 66mhz to something higher.

i suppose thats the reason i never noticed any difference when i up'ed it. :D how do you increase the gpu and mem voltage? have to mod the card?

yup, i wrote this Guide for volt modding 9800 (non)Pro video cards.. XT isn't in it, however if you search google you can find some pics. the guide will benefit you either way, as it goes in depth on what you're doing when you do a vmod.

it comes with an xt bios.

that vmod looks too hardcore for me, if i could afford to replace the card i would consider doing it.
