Just thought I'd share. I saw the NZXT Khaos posted in here a while ago. I liked the case and finally found it onsale today at a bunch of etailers. I just picked one up from Directron but saved 7 bucks using a coupon. It's not much, but it's 7 bucks. The coupon is SUPER300. Here's a link to the NZXT page about it.

The only thing that bugs me about the design, is it seems to be backwards. In my opinion, if the points were to the back, not the front it would look much better.
 
I don't really like the design either. The real killer for me though is the $400 price tag. That's more than most high end lian li's and silverstones, and this is NZXT we're talking about here.
 
It's not too much more than the Lian Li cases I buy like v2110B, v2100B, and v2100BPlus II. I like the curve of this case as well as the dual PSU support. And if I get it and don't like it, I have a few days to send it back. The glowing lights will be gone though, I'm not a fan of glowing computers at all.
 
Way, way, overpriced. The design is meh, but I would definitely not spend that kind of money on a case like that.
 
Well for the price its not like its cheap to make. Its like 35 pounds. Not some super thin design. They might have been better off staying with cheaper steel cases until they came up with a design that was real popular... and then built upon that and switched to aluminum.

While there are some real nice things about this case there are also some areas it is a little lacking. For the price I don't really want want anything but perfect. On the other hand most of Lian Li's super expensive cases I wouldn't buy either.

I'm sure some people will end up buying this as the design is pretty sleek, quality is good. I'm actually hoping NZXT continues to come up with new cases as, unlike people who say NZXT is just ripping off others designs, I think they actually are comming up with some new ideas in their cases. I've been sorta bored with most other new cases for awhile now. Antec P180 was the last case that I really thought was something new.

I'm still interested in this case but want to read others opinions before I consider it at this price. heh, Teh Egg has it @ $439.99 b4 shipping. :eek:
 
I got it yesterday and it's great. It will fit dual PCP&C 1KW+ PSUs without a problem. I have a TRUE120 in it as well, but you can't open the flip out motherboard tray with it installed. So that makes that feature kind of useless.

Quality wise, it's a very nice build. One of the spot welds on a side panel was broken but it isn't a problem. It's on the back of the panel where the screw goes into the back of the case to hold the panel on. It doesn't come with the 3 fans infront of the motherboard, you'll need to buy those yourself. And not that it matters to me since I don't want them, the 2 fans in the front don't match color. One is blue and one is more purple. I bought the case knowing I'd yank them out anyway though.


All in all, I love it more than my Lian-Li's. It's a lot of money but it's a great case. Also, I didn't order from Newegg because I'd have to pay sales tax. They're overpriced as well compared to other etailers. I'm glad I bought from Directron, I took the cheap shipping and didn't have to pay sales tax. It actually worked out nicely too since it's drop shipped from here in SoCal, so I got it the day after it was shipped.
 
I like the looks for the most part, but they handled the dual 120's pretty badly. You have this big smooth sleek front and it looks like you threw 2 $5 filters on the front to cover the fans.

It's actually the same mesh as what's in the side panel. And the fans have filters between the mesh and the fan assembly. It doesn't look bad at all in person.
